Description
Rida Y. Elkheir studied Medicine at the University of Khartoum. He completed public health training in the UK, and post-graduate studies in Public Health (Cambridge), Diabetes and Long Term Conditions (Sussex) and holds Memberships of the Faculty of Public Health and Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management and Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training. He is a Fellow of the UK Faculty of Public Health, is a Visiting Professor of Public Health, and Director of Public Health (IoW LA; Wessex) following working as Consultant and later as Clinical Director (NHS). He has a particular interest in long-term conditions, behavioural economics, health economics, renewable energy for health and wellbeing and whole-systems integration of prevention and early intervention across Health and Well-being including wider determinants. He is active in public health training in the Wessex region and active in developing training opportunities for colleagues from Sudan. He is a founding member of the Sudan Health Consultancy group.
