Description
Dr. Mohamed Osman Idris is an Associate Professor in Plant Pathology, currently working at the College of Agriculture, Khartoum University, Khartoum, Sudan. He has been a Lecturer on plant pathology since 1975. He was awarded his PhD at Reading University, UK, an MSc at the University of Khartoum, and BSc (Honours) at the University of Khartoum. He is an internal and external examiner for postgraduate programmes at many universities in Khartoum. To date he has supervised studies for 55 MSc Degrees and 5 PhD Degrees. He has published 22 papers in national and international reputable peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His main research theme is fungal diseases and mycotoxins in Sudan agricultural products. He is the Chairman of the Mycotoxins Committee Sudanese Standards, and a Member of the Metrology Organization. He is currently a Consultant to many government and private organizations in Sudan.
