Dr. Christopher Nshimbi (South Africa)

Dr Nshimbi is Department of Science and Technology-National Research Foundation (DST-NRF) Research Fellow & Deputy Director of the Centre for the Study of Governance Innovation (GovInn), Department of Political Sciences, University of Pretoria. He researches regional and sub-regional integration (especially in East and Southern Africa and Southeast Asia), borders and borderlands, informal cross-border trade, grassroots non-state actors, social cohesion and water resources management. He teaches Regional Integration, and Political Dynamics in the Department of Political Sciences. Dr Nshimbi has participated in and sits on regional and international technical working groups on labour and migration and the integrated water sector.
