Description
Prof. Ngwenya‟s research has focused on sustainable rural livelihoods and development, HIV/AIDS, poverty and food (in) security, community based natural resources management and indigenous knowledge systems and natural resources management. A graduate of the University of Michigan‟s School of Social Work, Prof. Ngwenya taught in the Department of Social Work, University of Botswana prior to joining the Institute in 2002 as a cultural anthropologist specializing in natural resource management and conservation of the Okavango and other regional wetlands.
